Meghan grew up in Texas, but loved visiting her grandparents on their farm in Illinois and attending the Shiloh church in La Prairie with them. She was even baptized there, so when the last service was held in 1999, her Grandfather bought the church so Meghan could one day have her wedding there.

Roman and Meghan who both live in Texas, but have family in Illinois, were first introduced to each other by Meghan’s sister who works at the same accounting firm as Roman. For their first date, the marachi band at the Mexican Restaurant mistakenly congratulated them on their “one-year anniversary”! The next day Roman invited Meghan out to celebrate their “two year anniversary” and the rest is history!!

For this destination wedding the floral decor came together with phone chats and exchanged emails and photos. It was so fun to finally meet the bride on her wedding day! Meghan chose mixed green garlands with lots of white blooms to decorate the outside and inside of the old church, the old get-away car, as well as the bridal bouquets, bouts, corsages and reception venue decor.

Tips from Meghan ~ Provide a very detailed schedule and list of suggested songs for your DJ ~Consider checking with your vendors and preferred venue for their availability before you choose your date ~Having a day-of coordinator is extremely helpful in taking care of small but important favors and keeping you stress-free which is well worth the extra cost.
