Natalie and Travis’ Trailside Event Center wedding in Peoria, IL was held on a glorious September day, adding a little extra magic to the romantic atmosphere.
Muted Fall Color Palette
We love the muted fall color palette Natalie chose for her wedding flowers. To bring her vision to life, we used Coffee Break, Golden Mustard and Shimmer roses. To compliment the roses we added mauve stock, brown lisianthus and peach ranunculus. Seasonal fillers of orange wax flower, gold amaranthus, solidago and blue nigella, along with the mixed greens, added the perfect textures to create Natalie’s boho garden style bouquet.
The velvet bridesmaid dresses were a rich rusty, bittersweet hue and they provided the most gorgeous back drop for the bridal bouquets.
Trailside Event Center provided the perfect venue for the “Boho” wedding theme with it’s warm brick walls and restored hardwood floors. We added a tabletop pergola of greens and blooms to place on the vintage buffet which created a striking focal point, and framed the ceremony area. Tall Harlow Stand arrangements decorated the aisle and then were moved to guest tables to add some height and dimension in the room.
Natalie and her mom were such a pleasure to work with! They wanted the flowers to be an important part of the overall ambiance and they trusted us to create something unique and special just for them.
We have several rental items to choose from to create the look you are going for. Natalie chose a mix of low and tall centerpiece styles. These gold compote vases are the perfect height for a low centerpiece as they do not obstruct the view of guests across the table. Of course, all of our tall centerpieces are designed to be above eye level of guests.
We were so excited to find out that Natalie had hired Elle Taylor photography. We just love her “light and airy” style, and how the flowers are “true to color” in the photographs. Hiring a quality photographer will give your florist more incentive to create something extra special for you, knowing they will get some wonderful images of their designs.
When you are getting married and also having your reception at the same place, it makes it easy to repurpose your ceremony flower decor and use it to decorate the reception.
The stairway at Trailside Event Center is perfect for enhancing with smilax greens and is a popular way to add a “garden” feel to your event.
Congratulations Natalie and Travis!
XOXO, Nancy

Kind Words
“I would give Nancy 100 stars if I could. She is the absolute best wedding florist out there. I knew from looking at her social media that she would be able to take my vision and make it to much greater than I imagined. My flowers were absolutely amazing and really brought the vision of our wedding to life. We had numerous guests from our wedding say they were the prettiest flowers they had even seen and they truly were. Not only is Nancy amazing at being a florist, she is prompt with communication and went above all of my expectations. I couldn’t imagine hiring anybody else.”
