First Look Is Bride’s Favorite Memory

Photographer  Sara Maurer took Sean and Amy to McGraw Park and captured the first look in front of this beautiful fountain.  When we asked Amy if she had a favorite memory from her wedding day, she explained it was hard to pinpoint because everything was just perfect but seeing her husband the first time really stands out!  She credits Sara for making them feel so comfortable that they could be perfectly natural in front of the camera.

First Look

Amy decided on her color scheme for her wedding when she was still in college.  She loved the shades of yellow and grey and how they complement each other.  She also felt it was something a little different than she had seen a lot of.  She found her biggest challenge in planning her wedding was second guessing herself as she would compare her wedding plans to all the weddings on Pinterest, Facebook and Instagram and then want to make changes right up to the week before her wedding!!

Because Amy’s grandfather died just two weeks before her wedding, she honored his memory by having her bouquet wrapped with one of his ties.

The wedding and reception were held at Doubletree in Bloomington where Kaitlin and her staff took care of all the details.  The wedding was in the courtyard and was decorated by Fancy Florals By Nancy with a decorated wedding arch, ferns, aisle runner and jars of flowers running the length of the aisle.  The tables were decorated with painted wine bottles filled with yellow and cream roses and dahlias and roses under wine glasses with votives on top.  Bojeannies provided various sizes of delicious cupcakes for her guests sweet tooth and Absolute Light and Sound provided a good time for everyone with their selection of songs.
