Pear Tree Estate was the perfect venue for John and Kelsey’s romantic blush wedding. Kelsey wanted a timeless look with simple clean lines and Pear Tree Estates offers just that. The beautiful lush blooms we chose in white, ivory and blush added a soft, romantic ambiance which enhanced the space by giving it a luxurious feel. We were so pleased with how our designs elevated this space.
One advantage of having your ceremony and reception in the same place is being able to reuse ceremony decoration for the reception space. Read on to see how these lush ceremony designs were used to decorate the reception.
We designed a hanging floral installation over the altar area which gave the illusion of a floating cloud of blooms and created a focal over John and Kelsey as they took their vows. Flowers used were lush white roses, stock, lisianthus, snapdragon, ranunculus along with pale blush and ivory roses. Keep reading to see how this ceremony installation created the perfect head table decor!
John and Kelsey first met at a friend’s house when Kelsey was back home in Illinois for the holidays. They dated long distance for a year before John moved to Wisconsin. John ended up proposing in the middle of Covid-19 pandemic. They had planned a weekend get away, staying in an AirBnB in Indianapolis. It was a gorgeous 70+ degree day in November and they spent the day doing favorite activities like exploring, walking by the water and eating delicious food on sunny patios. Returning to the AirBnB, John popped the question and surprised Kelsey with having their closest friends on hand to celebrate with them.
We placed tall harlow stand arrangements along the ceremony aisle and added cylinder candle sets to create a romantic setting for Kelsey to walk through. Keep reading to see how we reused these items on the reception tables.
Entry Hall Decor
It was fun for us to create something different for the entry hall to frame and enhance the seating chart. This created a nice focal point to greet the guests as they entered Pear Tree Estates. We used two different height of our harlow stands as a base to weave greens and blooms up along the outside of the stands creating some unique floral artistry. We find it such a joy to personalize the floral decor into something unique just for them.
Because the ceremony and reception both took place at Pear Tree Estates, we found it was easy to reuse the cermony decor for the head table decoration and table centerpieces. While guests enjoyed the cocktail hour out on the patio, the ceremony space was flipped over to the reception space. The head table went under the hanging floral installation, which previously had decorated the altar area.

Table Centerpiece Decor
Tall Harlow Stand Centerpieces
These photos show how splendidly the tall harlow stand arrangements went from providing beautiful aisle decor to serving as lush table centerpieces. Their height added dimension and depth to the high ceiling of the venue space. The cylinder candles were also moved to guest tables providing some low centerpieces. We recommend using two or even three different table centerpiece styles in different heights to add interest and variety.
Cylinder Candle Centerpieces
By having some tall centerpieces, such as the harlow stand designs, mixed in with some low centerpieces, like this grouping of cylinder candles, it helps fill in the space between the table top and the ceiling. One good tip to keep in mind is that centerpieces should be either below eye level or above eye level of seated guests so as not to block their view across the table.
Advice From The Bride
We asked Kelsey if she had any good advice to pass on to other couples going through wedding planning. Here is what she said, “Hire reliable vendors that you connect with and trust. It was important to me to have good food, florals, photos and a lot of fun. I relied on recommendations from our venue and landed a vendor team that was worth their weight in gold. Everyone worked together seamlessly and the result was flawless execution. I never had any worries otherwise. Most of all…Enjoy your planning and have fun!”
